NCSS Speaker Agreement

  1. I/We agree to comply with all presentation-related deadlines provided to me by NCSS
  2. I/We authorize NCSS to use my/our name(s), likeness, photograph(s), and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of the presentation.
  3. During my/our presentation, I/we will not engage in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any products or service, and I/we will not disparage NCSS in any way.
  4. I/We agree to notify a member of the NCSS team immediately should an emergency prevent me/us from meeting my/our obligation as presenter(s).
  5. To the best of my/our knowledge, my/our presentation does not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others, including, but not limited to, copyright, trademark, and privacy rights; it is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful. I/We have the full authority to enter into this agreement and have obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any individuals or organizations whose material is included or used in my/our presentation.
  6. I/We grant to NCSS a royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute my/our presentation, including slides and video, in any way in the future, with appropriate attribution to me. I/We understand that this license does not change the fact that I/we retain copyright ownership of presentation, and does not prohibit me from using or allowing others to use my/our presentation at my/our discretion.
  7. I/We provide consent to NCSS for the recording of my/our presentation in audio and visual form. I/We understand that NCSS will be the sole copyright owner of the recording, with the exception of recordings that I/we host, in which copyright is shared. Further, I/we agree not to sell, distribute, stream over the internet, or otherwise use the recording in any way other than for my/our personal, archival use, except with the prior written consent of NCSS.

Please note, as it pertains to items 6 and 7, the usage of the recording will be as a free resource to NCSS members within the NCSS Digital Library.
